At Smithfield Feedlot, we have been feeding cattle since 1986. In addition to our extensive experience, Smithfield Feedlot is located in a prime position for marketing grain fed beef - we sell cattle suitable for domestic and export markets (including premium domestic and export markets) to 12 different abattoirs located within a 500km radius. We are also suppliers of quality grain fed cattle to some of Australia’s largest supermarkets.

Smithfield Feedlot actively seeks feeder cattle that are:

• Steers and heifers
• Domestic or export weight
• EU and non EU accredited

• We utilise a grid system for cattle specifications and payment.
• We have very prompt, efficient payment systems (within 14 days of delivery).
• We inspect cattle prior to purchase at our own expense.
• We have B-double access and a double deck ramp.
• We have a trade registered weighbridge.
• We buy small lots of cattle from smaller cattle producers.
• We have extended receival hours, accepting deliveries between 6.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday and on weekends by appointment.
• We encourage cattle producers to follow their cattle after their arrival at Smithfield.
• Cattle are inducted and placed on a total mixed ration within 24 hours of their arrival.

Smithfield Feedlot have cattle buyers located throughout Queensland and New South Wales who will inspect your cattle. Cattle arriving at Smithfield Feedlot must be accompanied by a correctly completed NVD or EUVD, which ever applicable.
